What do I expect from future Habbo? Well for me the single most important thing about Habbo2020 is that it’s being rebuilt from the ground up on Unity, this is important for everyone because this is giving the game a renewed lease of life that we know it desperately needs. Habbo2020 will be the foundation of Habbos entry into the next decade, a way to catch up with new trends in the gaming space, a way to re-market and build audience once again. I want Habbo to succeed, I want Habbo to grow again and most of all I want Habbo to appeal to a generation of teens that are very different from my generation in the early 2000s, Habbo has to capture the attention of these people to survive and some of the work they’ve carried out for 2020 seems to be a positive step towards that. For other Habbos, just know that 2020 means that development can be restarted on the game, it means that after the release of the foundation we can share ideas, feedback and suggestions that may actually be actioned on this time because the game is being actively developed and improved. Habbo has been stagnant and slow to develop for years, mainly because of flash and now things are changing, it’s the most exciting time to be apart of the community since I joined in 2005.

Thank you so much for the question! I expect a hotel that gives importance to the buildings, the creativity of its guests, new furni that add new functionality rather than simple decorations. I’m thinking of the one-magic adjustable in width, the one-magic for walls in such a way that you can automatically stack wall fences on the fences without having to go crazy with the floor haha! I certainly expect an advanced off-line messaging system as well. We had reached a really good level with the minimails, really very comfortable. Last but not least, I hope for a renewal of the home page and the layout of the news as well as a close eye to new realities especially in the world of fansites.

Oh dear what do I expect from Habbo2020? I would very much like the ability to choose which area of ​​the room can have the user lock on the floor. A bigger magic stack would also be very welcome.

From the new version I certainly expect many ways of achievements, which will become a challenge for users interested in increasing their score. Anyway, as a Habbo ambassador, what I really expect from the Habbo2020 version is to use much more practical and effective tools to make my security role much more efficient. Even if my expectations are not immediately available with the new version, I really hope that Habbo will realize all this so that users can feel listened, protected and safeguarded in the best way.

I expect more interactions with users from the Staff, following the path traced by Antigone. In particular, I am referring to the activities of the infobus at the park which I hope will work again, also by inviting international guests, for example: journalists and scientists to talk about important activities, such as the topic of ecology! Infobus could be a great resource if assisted by the helpers of the Help centers, also in reference to issues such as food education, sports, health, inviting experts in the sector. More activities of the Amb in reference to civic education and the personal and psychological respect of users. The Amb can launch an awareness campaign on mental illnesses, such as anxiety disorders and eating disorders, very common among adolescents. Fansites could be integrated into activities that involve hosting VIPs, to interview them. The increase in competitions and games must be proportionate to who Habbo makes it alive, to integrate all realities: Fansite, Amb, MAW, Infobus Team, Help Centers. To be honest I don’t really know what to expect from Habbo2020. We’ve been waiting for this new update for years now and I think that’s the time Habbo can start a revolution. That’s the time Habbo can show it can always be up to date even if it’s a 20 years-old game. I hope the classic features will not be changed, so the game we’ve always loved doesn’t lose its identity. I also hope there will be many new interesting features which could help us appreciate even more the game. It’s pretty clear Habbo needs new features. Players who’ve been playing Habbo for years need something new to discover. I hope there will be some better features and functions in building but most importantly I hope the moderation system will be improved in order to let everyone enjoy the time spent playing Habbo.

For habbo2020 I’d expect a bunch of R.P.G features, a new furni management system, an improved marketplace, new types of furniture (not just the same floor, sofa and chair), an improved system for building, the return of the trax editor. Last but not least the return of nice graphics, sounds and animations on the user interface.

Given my great passion for computer programming, I would like to see in Habbo2020 new systems to make rooms more “automatic and intelligent”. Habbo might consider adding new wired furni or creating a new system that allows you to create your own custom algorithm.
